A Salesforce solution built by BrightGen that helps organisations sell advertising space more effectively has won an award for innovation.
BrightMedia, which helps organisations sell advertising space efficiently, was recognised in the category of Industry Innovation at the annual Salesforce Awards. The accolade is a testament to the ground-breaking work that went into BrightGen’s new technology.
The solution helps all types of businesses sell advertising space regardless of their size or industry, across digital, print or outdoor formats. Customers already benefiting from using the software include those operating as media or news outlets such as The Express and one of Europe’s largest publishers, Hubert Burda Media.
BrightMedia, which was also awarded the coveted ‘Fullforce’ status by Salesforce earlier in the year, helps media owners streamline sales processes and improve revenue streams. Sales teams can manage multiple advertising scenarios, publications or products while customers are able to make bookings independently with easy-to-use functions.
Rob Stevens, CEO and Co-Founder at BrightGen, said: “The advertising industry is performing well. With UK ad-sales due to increase by 5.5% in both 2015 and 2016, new channels being created and challenges such as ad-blockers, it’s more important than ever for brands to implement technology that can maximise revenue. As an example, media giant Northern & Shell is already benefiting from the solution, having seen a 50% reduction in the time spent booking adverts. BrightMedia is not just a solution for news companies, however. It helps many different organisations – whether it be real estate, travel agents or shopping centres – that may want to capitalise on new revenue opportunities.”
