On 17th September, we’ll run an online panel discussion on the topic of engaging customers and strengthening bonds during and after COVID. I have 30 years of experience in the travel industry and have a positive outlook on how the industry will survive and thrive the pandemic. I’ll talk to former colleagues, Andy Cruse & Tony Hollis of Amadeus, about how they’re responding to changes in customer business priorities. We’ll also be joined by Alex Bosworth, who looks after Salesforce’s travel, transport & hospitality customers in the EMEA region. We will talk about some of the innovative solutions we’ve seen some of our customers taking during the pandemic, and how we see Salesforce as the enabling technology to aid their recovery.
As seasoned veterans of the travel industry we’ve seen it recover from plenty of crises in the past. The last few months have not been easy, but we’re confident in the industry’s ability to adapt, especially with the advent of ever more sophisticated technology. Excellent customer and employee engagement will be key throughout these difficult times. The companies who innovate with technology to enable this will survive and thrive.
